7. Write down the steps to Hide the file and unhide the file in Windows Operating System.


Hiding Files:

1. Open File Explorer:
  • Press Win + E to open File Explorer, or click on the File Explorer icon in the taskbar.
  • 2. Navigate to the Location of the File:
  • Browse to the location where the file you want to hide is located.
  • 3. Select the File:
  • Click on the file you want to hide to select it.
  • 4. Access the File Properties:
  • Right-click on the selected file and choose "Properties" from the context menu.
  • 5. Toggle the Hidden Attribute:
  • In the Properties window, check the "Hidden" checkbox under the "Attributes" section.
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK" to apply the changes.

  • Unhiding Files:

    1. Open File Explorer:
  • Press Win + E to open File Explorer.
  • 2. Enable Hidden Files Viewing:
  • Click on the "View" tab in the File Explorer menu bar.
  • Check the "Hidden items" checkbox in the "Show/hide" section. This will allow hidden files to be displayed.
  • 3. Navigate to the Location of the Hidden File:
  • Browse to the location where the hidden file is located.
  • 4. Select the Hidden File:
  • Click on the hidden file you want to unhide to select it.
  • 5. Access the File Properties:
  • Right-click on the selected hidden file and choose "Properties" from the context menu.
  • 6. Remove the Hidden Attribute:
  • In the Properties window, uncheck the "Hidden" checkbox under the "Attributes" section.
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK" to apply the changes.
  • 7. Disable Hidden Files Viewing (Optional):
  • If you want to hide hidden files again, you can return to the "View" tab in File Explorer and uncheck the "Hidden items" checkbox.
